The Transition Roadable Aircraft, a.k.a. the first flying car, has been approved for the roads by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
While the Terrafugia, Inc. vehicle is said to be more like "an airplane that can drive" instead of a car that flies, the Transition is still the closest we've come to those long-awaited flying cars.
The Transition is slated to go on the market in 2012 for a price tag of $250,000. Would you be willing to spend it to finally realize your futuristic dreams? Or, do you think this is machinery better left in the pages of sci-fi books?
